Kymone Freeman is the DC Statehood Green Party's nominee for Delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives. A native Washingtonian, award-winning playwright, community activist, and co-founder of We Act Radio, DC's independent progressive radio and TV studio; he has spent over three decades on the frontlines of the fight for equity, justice, and self-determination in the District.
Kymone's 2026 campaign, "No Representation, No Taxes," calls for shifting the city's priorities from corporate handouts to community investment, tackling the root causes of crime and poverty through investment in housing, healthcare, and education, and escalating the fight for statehood through direct economic action.
